My Mission?

I develop translational systems at the intersection of biosensing, chemical/biological defense, survivability, and emergency medicine.

Here’s the gist of me:

Accelerated Skin Prick Test (aSPT): Invented a diagnostic device to improve speed and accessibility of allergy testing; presented at MIT URTC 2024 and filed a nonprovisional patent (Dual-Layered Microneedle Carrier) with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Conducted ex-vivo validation to evaluate clinical feasibility and usability. Won an award from New Jersey Institute of Technology at the Terra North Jersey STEM Fair in 2025 and was named a finalist for the 2024 NFTE WSI with MetLife Health. Received Congressional Commendation (Rep. Sherrill) for work in medical technologies related to the aSPT.

Presentations & Research: Invited to be a 2026 American Chemical Society Annual Meeting’s poster presenter in collaboration with CombiPhos Catalysts, Inc. for “Preparation of novel thiazole-4-boronic esters through mixed palladium catalysts” for modular drug discovery & chemical warfare agent sensor precursors. Published research including one first-author peer-reviewed paper (Accelerated Skin Prick Test) and several preprints (EMS tech) with work indexed across IEEE Xplore and TechRxiv. Contributed DNA sequence data through the Rutgers Waksman Institute vWISE program, with results indexed in the NCBI database. Presented work at IEEE I-COSTE 2025; additional speaking engagements include the 2025 TEDx@WHRHS, 2026 SCCE/HCCA Conference, and 2026 Health 2.0 Conference.

Pilot Study & Prototyping: Developed CoEmergency, an AI-assisted emergency communication and logistics prototype; led a usability study (n=83) to evaluate frontline performance and reduce cognitive load. Over 90% of users rated the system highly in usability and navigation.

Defense Research & Development: Founder of Rook Defense Industries (dba CryoBlade, Inc.), an early-stage initiative focused on CBRNE defense and emergency medical technologies (SAM.gov registered: CAGE 17BA1; UEI H6Z3C4UMZYK7). Leading development of a prototype CBRNE sensing suite, including fluorescence-based biosensing and chemical detection systems. Coordinated technical collaboration with defense contractors and MD/PhD contributors to support SBIR/STTR proposal development and submission. Additional work in radiological detection and survivability systems (e.g., hemorrhage control, LIDAR/UWB sensing).

Volunteering & Shadowing : Founder & Lead of Boba Lions: performing across the nation at nursing homes & school events, volunteering with Parsippany Volunteer Ambulance Squad and Chilton Medical Center, and shadowed many medical specialties (from neurosurgery to emergency ophthalmology) all for 400 hours, earned 3 Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Awards in consecutive years for cultural arts & lion dancing across New Jersey.

Medical Experience & Clinical Shadowing: Volunteering with Parsippany Volunteer Ambulance Squad, Chilton Medical Center, and shadowing many specialties (from neurosurgery to emergency ophthalmology) for ~250 hours. Received AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED + First Aid (Adult, Child, Infant) Certification.

Volunteering, Sports & Teaching: Founder & Team Lead of Boba Lions: a 501(c)(3) providing cultural performances nationally (~400 hours) with a focus in cultural arts for 6 years, earning 3 consecutive Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Awards for work in cultural arts & lion dancing across New Jersey. Created a free Udemy course for patenting with around 750 students enrolled worldwide. Competed in table tennis for 10 years, including international competitions (e.g., JOOLA North American Teams Championships), serving as captain multiple times and competing against international opponents; 6 years of competitive tennis.
